EPC Capital Appoints Corporate Controller, William Yu

EPC Capital is pleased to announce William Yu, MBA, MA, CPA, CIM, as EPC Capital’s new Corporate Controller, effective September 9, 2019. As part of our mission to build the Greater Edmonton Area with quality developments, and provide value and growth opportunities for businesses, our team is welcoming William and his expertise in portfolio management, financial reporting and analysis, and risk management.

William will be responsible for working closely with the executive team to develop an effective financial governance structure that improves efficiency, consistency and quality of financial reports, forecasts and analysis, through improvements and implementation of stronger controls, processes and systems.

William Yu

William has extensive accounting, administration, and management experience in multiple industries. Prior to joining EPC Capital, he was the Vice President of Asset Management with a leading commercial real estate financing and advisory firm, where he managed a commercial mortgage portfolio in the amount of more than $2 billion.  

William’s expertise lies in portfolio management, accounting operations, corporate governance, and internal control. His responsibilities include budgeting & forecasting, streamlining accounting procedures, enhancing financial reporting and analysis, and improving internal control and risk management processes.

William holds an MBA degree in Finance from the University of Alberta and an MA degree in Communication and Social Justice from the University of Windsor. He is a Chartered Professional Accountant, Certified General Accountant and Charted Investment Manager.
